Update to send status request messages in Exchange 2000 Server:

"After you install the hotfix that this article describes, you can configure Exchange 2000 to generate a status request message for each public folder in a public folder store. To do so:

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MsExchangeIS\\Public-
3. On the Edit menu, click Add Value.
4. In the Value Name box, type Replication Flags.
5. In the Data Type list, click REG_DWORD, and then click OK.
6. In the Data box, type 1 (one), and then click OK.
7. Quit Registry Editor.
8. Dismount and then remount the public folder store that corresponds to the Public- registry subkey.

When you set the Replication Flags registry value to 1, and then dismount and remount the public folder store, status request messages are generated, and the Replication Flags registry value is automatically reset to 0 (zero).
